Welcome back extra-terrestrial sports fans! So far, 2016 has been a busy year for Team Alien and it promises to get even busier as we reach the final instalment.
London Super Comic Convention
Last month we returned to the London Super Comic Convention. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a solo appearance for picture-guy Mat Barnett as our resident word-slinger Jack Kirby was called away on a super-secret mission at the last minute. Mat still had a great time and only found himself talking to the empty chair beside him on a couple of occasions. We are very grateful to substitute players Laura Noble, Mark Allen, Kenton Jackson and Ami Rai who all came off the bench to help out over the weekend. Thanks to everyone who brought the book – or even who stopped by to chat! We’ve shared an album of convention highlights on our Facebook page. We promise we’ll be back next year….and in greater numbers!
We’re currently confirming more upcoming convention appearances for the rest of the year and we’ll announce them shortly.
Alien in the Outfield #4
The release of the fourth and final plus-sized issue is imminent. We think it’s going to be our best yet with mega rad cover art by Morgan Rashand. Issues 1-3 are also restocked and available again in our online shop.
Alien in the Trade Paperback
After #4 is finished, we’ll be hoping to create a collected, colourised, special remixed paperback edition of the whole Alien saga. It will be an omnibus mega-edition with additional material and deleted scenes! We plan to crowdsource the project so keep watching the skies for exciting updates (or perhaps more usefully, follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook).
